Lawyers a Drag on the Economy
Tim, I promise as a politician this will be the last time I bother you this year. Also, I have this bridge……Anyway I do have a serious question to ask. How much does the Federal government spend per minute on lawyers/law firms? I tried digging into this and found a whole bunch of dead ends.I also want to know how much per minute all Americans are paying to lawyers/law firms per year.I came across an interesting article at Open Secrets of how much lawyers/law firms have bundled for the 2008 campaign and according to them its at 76 million (as of Sept. 07)which is almost half of what the democrats had raised as of Sept. 2007. No surprise that 62% of what Silky hair doo boy raised came from lawyers/law firms.I really want to know how much of our Federal budget will end up in lawyers/law firms pockets. When the use of Naval sonar devices is restricted by a federal judge because some Left wackos hired lawyers to ban their use because they may disturb the whales its time to fire up s
ome lawyers.http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/346011_orcasonar04.html.When national security has to bow to the interests of a few then label the few oxygen deprivation and act.(Oxygen deprivation is the act of breathing useful air by useless people.)
I got into an interesting email exchange with a Michael Volpe a mortgage broker in Illinois over the root causes of the mortgage crisis. He has a web site called The Provocateur at this address:http://theeprovocateur.blogspot.com/. He has some real interesting articles that put part of the blame on Wall Street practices in the past.He agrees with me that part of the cause of this crisis has been driven by discrimination laws that have forced risky loans on lending institutions.
Mr. Volpe also brings up HR 3915 and how it will again give growth to an already top heavy ,bulging government by requiring the registration of mortgage brokers through the Federal government . I read that part of this bill and myself ,having nothing to do the mortgage industry ,saw it as plans for bigger government before Mr. Volpe pointed it out to me. This Bill is also very vague and shady in a lot of its points and written in so much double talk that it will take a staff of lawyers and long years of litigation to figure out what it actually says. What better way for our Congress to better serve their masters(lawyers/law firms)then by passing laws that only lawyers can read. And what better way to ensure job security for the masters then to have lawyers/law firms write the Bill.
Tim, my generation started to do what Thomas Jefferson said every generation should do and that is to have a revolution. The problem was we got side tracked by drugs and sex and never got any further.Where was I……Oh yeah if you do ever come across the cost to us imposed by our masters(lawyers/law firms) please forward them.
Thanks again for allowing me to rob you of your eyesight!!!!
Mike
